External Study Abroad Scholarships
The Association of Two Toledos
- Applicants must be a resident of the greater Toledo, Ohio.
- Applicants must be participating in the ESTO program.

Benjamin A. Gilman International Scholarship
- Applicant must be a U.S. citizen.
- Applicant must be an undergraduate student in good standing at an accredited institution of higher education in the U.S.
- Applicant must be receiving a Federal Pell Grant during the time of application.
- Applicant must be in the process of applying to, or accepted to, a credit-bearing study abroad program.

Bridging Scholarships for Study Abroad in Japan
- Applicant must be an undergraduate student majoring in any field of study; Japanese language is not a prerequisite.
- Applicant must be a U.S. citizen.
- Applicant must be enrolled as an undergraduate in a college or university in the U.S. before and during the time they are studying abroad.
- The length of study abroad program must last for at least 3 months and must earn credit that will transfer to home university.

Boren Awards for International Study
- Applicant must be a U.S. citizen at the time of the national application deadline.
- Applicant must be at least 18 years old or older at the time of the national application deadline.
- Applicant must be planning a study abroad program in a country outsideÌýWestern Europe, Canada, Australia or New Zealand.
- In addition to these basic eligibility criteria, the Boren Awards give preference to programs based on their duration, focus on intensive study of a preferred language in a preferred country, and the applicant’s field of study.

Diversity Abroad Scholarship
- Applicant must be enrolled full-time at their home institution.
- Applicant must participate in a semester/summer/year-long study abroad program.
- Applicant must have a minimum CGPA 2.75 at an accredited U.S. university or college.

Diverse International Women of Color (DIWC) Scholarship
- Applicant must be a woman of color but not limited to Black or African-American, Native-American, Hispanic/Latina and Asian.
- Applicant must be a student and attend college or university in the U.S.
- Applicant must have a GPA of 2.7 or higher.
- Applicant must be accepted to a study abroad program.

Freeman-Asia Awards for Study in Asia
- Applicant must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident at the time of application.
- Applicant must be an undergraduate student with a minimum GPA of 2.8.
- Applicant must have at least one term of enrollment remaining at the home institution in the U.S. upon returning from studying abroad in Asia.
- Applicant must have applied or have been accepted to a study abroad based program in Cambodia, China, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Japan, Korea, Laos, Macao, Malaysia, Mongolia, Philippines, Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand, or Vietnam.

Fund for Education Abroad (FEA) Scholarship
- Applicant must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident.
- Applicant must be currently enrolled as an undergraduate at a college or university in the U.S.
- Applicant’s study abroad program must be eligible for credit at the student’s home institution.

German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD ) Undergraduate Scholarship
- Applicant must be a U.S. citizen.
- Applicant must be an undergraduate student in good academic standing.
- Applicant must be a Federal Pell Grant recipient.
- Applicant must be in the process of applying for, or accepted to, a credit-bearing study abroad program in Germany.

Gilman-McCain Scholarship
- Applicant must be a citizen or national of the U.S.
- Applicant must be an undergraduate student in good standing.
- Applicant must be a dependent of active or activated U.S. military personnel during the time of application.
- Applicant must be in the process of applying to, or accepted to, a credit-bearing study abroad program.

Going Abroad Scholarship
- The scholarship is open to any citizen and/or resident of the U.S.
- Applicant must be enrolled full-time at an accredited institution of higher learning.

Phi Kappa Phi Study Abroad Grant
- Applicant must be an undergraduate attending an institution with an active Phi Kappa Phi chapter.
- Applicant must have a cumulative GPA of 3.75 or higher.
- Applicant must have applied to or been accepted into an accredited study abroad program before the session deadline and provide a letter of acceptance or a letter confirming their application, on official letterhead, as part of their application.
- Applicant must not be a sitting Phi Kappa Phi board member, divisional vice president, member of the Study Abroad Award committee or Society employee at time of application or announcement.

National Italian American Foundation (NIAF )
- Applicant must have an active NIAF membership.Ìý Applicant may use their parent, guardian or grandparent’s membership.
- Applicant must be enrolled in a U.S. accredited institution of higher education on a full time basis.
- Applicant must have a GPA of at least 3.5.Ìý Some scholarships require a lower GPA for eligibility.
- Applicant must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident.
- Applicant must have Italian American ancestry. To be considered Italian American, the applicant must have at least one ancestor who has immigrated from Italy.

The U.S.-Japan Council Toshizo Watanabe Endowed Scholarship
- Applicant must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident.
- Applicant must be in good academic standing at an accredited college or university in the U.S.
- Applicant must be an undergraduate student.
- Applicant must be enrolled in an exchange program or credit-bearing course of study at a university or approved academic center in Japan in the upcoming academic year.
- Applicant must demonstrate financial need for international study (i.e. would not be able to pursue international study without financial assistance or support).

- Applicant must be a U.S. citizen, permanent resident or currently studying in the U.S. on a student visa.
- Applicant must be a full-time undergraduate student in good academic standing at a 4-year, degree-granting college or universities in the U.S.
- Applicant must have applied to or been accepted into a study abroad program eligible for credit by your college or university.
