David Cutri Biography
David Cutri is the Executive Director of Internal Audit and Chief Compliance Officer
for The University of Toledo. He is responsible for the university’s internal audit,
institutional compliance, and accessibility and disability resources functions.
Cutri joined ¹û¶³´«Ã½ in this role in June 2009. He previously served as audit director
at NiSource Inc. in Columbus, a natural gas and electric distribution and transmission
utility. Throughout his career he has worked in a variety of audit, risk management,
finance and accounting, technology and consulting roles with major companies including
Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railway, National City Corporation, and Arthur Young
and Company/Ernst and Young.
Cutri earned bachelors’ degrees in accounting and management information systems from
Indiana University of Pennsylvania and a master's degree in business administration
from The Case Western Reserve University Weatherhead School of Management. He is
a Certified Public Accountant, Certified Information Systems Auditor, Certified Internal
Auditor, and a Six Sigma Master Black Belt. He also serves as Chairman of the Board
of Directors of Rescue Incorporated (a non-profit mental health and addiction services
organization in Toledo), a member of the Audit Committee of Toledo Public Schools,
Vice President of the Northwest Ohio Information Systems Audit and Control Association
Chapter, and Secretary of the Northwest Ohio Institute of Internal Auditors Chapter.
