Experience

Julia Martin has been a librarian at the University of Toledo Libraries since August 2005. She assists students and faculty in the College of Business and Innovation and the Department of Economics with library instruction and research support. She also leads the Reference and Instruction unit of Carlson Library ensuring that students have high quality experiences with information literacy learning. She is active in the Business Reference and Services Section of the American Library Association.

Prior to her work at 果冻传媒, Julia worked at both academic and public libraries and taught college and adult students in China. She has earned a bachelors in English, a masters in library science, and an MBA. Her academic interests include leadership and teamwork, supervision and mentoring, business research and instruction, international student learning, information literacy, library assessment, and writing and communicating. Outside the library she enjoys mentoring college students through Circle K and leading literacy projects for children of all ages with the West Toledo Kiwanis.
