Mission

The Division of Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism functions administratively within the Department of Medicine.Ìý The Division consists of several faculty members, clinicians and investigators, each with unique multidisciplinary backgrounds who strive to maintain the excellence of service and education provided by the University of Toledo College of Medicine and Life Sciences (formerly the Medical College of Ohio), and also further the proliferation of important research in the field of Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism.Ìý

The Division of Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism at the University of Toledo focuses on education and cutting edge research in the field of medicine that pertains to the endocrine system, its diseases, and the events which arise from the secretion and metabolism of hormones.Ìý Students, Residents, Fellows and other trainees gain academic and hands-on experience in laboratory and clinical environments provided by the University of Toledo Medical Center, CeDER (Center for Diabetes and Endocrine Research) and now the academic affiliate ProMedica Health System of northwest Ohio and southeast Michigan.Ìý
