Enrollment Status
Undergraduate: The enrollment status of undergraduate students is based on the number of hours enrolled in credit bearing courses during a semester or during an entire summer term. The university recognizes full-time status as carrying a minimum of 12 or more semester hours in credit bearing courses.Â
The chart below shows the undergraduate enrollment status based on hours enrolled.
Hours | Enrollment Status |
---|---|
1-5 | Less than half-time |
6-8 | Half-time |
9-11 | Three-quarter time |
12 or more | Full-time |
Graduate: The enrollment status of graduate students is determined by the number of hours enrolled in credit bearing courses during a semester or during an entire summer term. The university recognizes full-time status as enrolled for a minimum of 9 or more semester hours in credit bearing courses. A part-time graduate student is enrolled for fewer than 9 semester hours in credit bearing courses. Hours taken for audit, ALI, and undergraduate courses cannot be used to meet the graduate hour requirements.
A student enrolled in a full-time and transcripted internship placement will be considered a full-time student for purposes of reporting to the National Student Clearinghouse if the time commitment required for the internship equates to the time commitment of a graduate student enrolled in 9 semester credit hours.
The chart below shows the graduate enrollment status based on hours enrolled.
