Types of Transfer Credit
The University of Toledo accepts transfer credit from regionally accredited institutions. These accrediting bodies include:

Prior Learning Assessment

Military Credit
Students who have earned military credit may be awarded credit hours toward their degree. The University of Toledo uses the to determine the credit earned and transfer equivalencies. Students may earn credit for courses taken in high school as a part of an approved career technical program. Students must successfully complete the course and grant permission for colleges and universities to post the credit when taking the End of Course exam. Industry Recognized Credential Transfer Assurance Guides (ITAG)

Ohio Transfer 36
Ohio Transfer 36 provides a guaranteed set of courses that will be applied toward the general education requirements at a State institution when transferring.Ìý The OT36 is a minimum of 36 semester hours of lower level courses that apply toward the following areas: English composition, mathematics, statistics and logic, arts and humanities, social and behavioral sciences, and natural sciences.
