Constitutions
Content
Constitutions explain how your organization conducts its business. Several sections should be included:
- Name and affiliations (if any)
- Purpose/mission
- Membership (including the University's full non-discrimination statement)
- Description of officers/positions and their roles
- Elections/transition plan
- Removal procedures (of officers and members)
- Meeting structure
- Amendments (how to change constitution)
- Committees (if any)

Updating
If your organization needs to make changes to its constitution, please follow the procedures listed in the current version's Amendments process. Then send a copy of the new constitution to getinvolved@utoledo.edu so it can be updated in the Involvement Network.
