Ongoing research by the faculty in the Neurosciences and Neurological Disorders graduate program is providing insights into neurotransmission, sensory system function, development, maintenance and plasticity of the nervous system, the basis of neural disease and the control of peripheral organs. As one of five biomedical science degree programs in the ¹û¶³´«Ã½ College of Medicine and Life Sciences, the Neurosciences and Neurological Disorders program is an interdisciplinary course of study whose primary goal is to train students to be independent, creative and successful scientists. The program awards Ph.D. degrees and participates in the M.D./Ph.D. and M.D./M.S.B.S. joint degree programs.
Students interested in Neurosciences and Neurological Disorders should apply online. Students will enter the Ph.D. program undeclared with respect to the five Biomedical Sciences tracks, then will identify a major advisor and align with the Neurosciences and Neurological Disorders track within their first year of study.
