Books and Supplies
Residents are given a textbook each year.Ìý
PGY-1 – Zitelli's Atlas of PediatricsÌý
PGY-2 – Nelson's EssentialsÌý
PGY-3 – Clevland Clinic Intensive ReviewÌýof PediatricsÌý
Each resident will be provided with a personalized white coatÌý
Annual Book Allowance
Up to $150 per year is available for book purchases.
Board Review
In addition to the annual subscription to PREP, each resident is providedÌýa yearly
subscription to a pediatric question bank.Ìý
PGY-3 residents are additionally provided with a pediatric board review course in
the springÌý
Memberships/Fees
Each resident receives candidate membership in the American Academy of Pediatrics,
which includes an annual subscription to Pediatrics and annual subscription to PREP
(Pediatric Review and Education Program). Fees will also be covered for the yearly
American Board of Pediatrics In-Service Exam and biannual PALS, NRP, BLS courses/recertification.
Meals
Lunch is provided during weekly academic half days.
Meal tickets are provided for residents who work a 24-hour call.ÌýÌý
Travel
PGY-1: Not eligible for travel
PGY-2: Up to $400 and 3 days for a scientific meeting
PGY-3: Up to $600 and 5 days for a scientific meeting
Vacation
PGY-1: 3 weeks
