ProMedica Toledo Hospital

Promedica Toledo Hospital is the primary teaching hospital for our General Surgery residents with Level I trauma. The hospital is located in West Toledo and named one of Healthgrades’ 50 Best Hospitals in America. This award recognizes the top 1 percent of hospitals in the nation for exhibiting clinical excellence. The Toledo Hospital house 794 beds and are the largest acute care facility in the Toledo area. Our residents get their robust training in General, minimally invasive, advanced Laparoscopic & Robotic Surgery, Bariatric Surgery, Acute care and Trauma Surgery, Surgical Critical Care, Neurosurgery, Cardio-Thoracic Surgery, Hepato-pancreatico-biliary Surgery, Endocrine Surgery, Vascular Surgery, Colorectal Surgery, Surgical Oncology, Pediatric Surgery, Plastic Surgery under one roof at the Toledo Hospital.
University Toledo Medical Center
Toledo, Ohio
Our PGY 5 and PGY 1 residents rotate at the University Toledo Medical Center to get experience in complex General, advanced laparoscopic and Robotic Surgery, Vascular Surgery. It is a 267 bed hospital with level III trauma designation which provides the most complex patients for training the General Surgery residents. Our PGY 4 residents rotate in Transplant Surgery at UTMC which has a busy kidney transplant program.

ProMedica Flower Hospital is a public hospital in Sylvania, Ohio that is part of the ProMedica health system. This hospital has 297 beds and provides a robust training experience in General Surgery, Robotic Surgery, ENT, Breast and Plastic Surgery for our PGY 5 and PGY 1 residents.Â

ProMedica Monroe Regional Hospital is a 238-bed level III trauma center, community
hospital in Monroe, MI. Â
Our PGY 3 residents rotate at this hospital year-round to get hands-on training in
General Surgery, endoscopic, laparoscopic and robotic procedures in a community setting.
